Hi all! I’m Katie, Owner of Gowns!
I want to welcome you to our store and hope you find our vibe to be what you are looking for in your bridal gown search.
Owning a bridal store was never something I saw myself doing, but after years of being in events, I realized that there was a need for more in Springfield, IL. More bridal stores, more plus-size options, and more locally owned places for girls to explore. I can honestly say I have found exactly what I should be doing with my life. I LOVE my job; I love seeing engaged girls turn into brides when they find the dress, I love when a high schooler finds an amazing gown and her mom is happy with the price; I love the experience that we get to provide you when you come through our doors.
When I’m not doing my bridal store thing, you can find me hanging with my family. I’ve been married to my husband, Andoine, since 2012. We met while we were working on cruise ships (I know, pretty cool!). We have 3 beautiful girls, Kentley, Emery, and Taylor and we love traveling and creating memories with them.

Lead Bridal Stylist
Bailey’s brides absolutely love her! She is a great listener who considers every one of your wants when looking for styles to try on. B has been on our team since 2018.
Bailey attends LLCC for radiography and spends all her free time with her niece.

Veronica Brown
Bridal Stylist
Veronica can make any bride feel comfortable from the minute she meets them. Her calm demeanor and knowledge makes her one of our top stylists. Brides love working with her, and we love having her on the team.
Veronica works full-time in marketing and association management.

Sami Montgomery
Bridal Stylist
Sami joined us in early 2021 and has fit right in since day one. We love her style, energy, and how she works with her brides. She listens and enjoys helping you find the perfect look for your big day.
Sami is a full-time pharmacy technician and helps her family with racing. She is currently expecting her first child in later July.

Alexis’ was a Gowns bride and joined our team shortly after her appointment. We love having her calming presence in the shop, and she is quickly becoming a master at picking the perfect dress for the bride.
Alexis is a parole officer and is involved with her church.
